Welcome to Maison Saranguerel.
As producers and experts in noble fibers, we guide you on how to preserve the softness and beauty of your cashmere, yak wool, or camel hair, season after season.
How to wash a sweater?
Quality cashmere, yak wool, and camel hair are not fragile. Good quality cashmere stands up well to time and washing; it simply requires delicacy. In the machine, choose the wool program, 30°C maximum, and a special wool detergent. By hand, wash your sweater in cold or lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly, then gently press without twisting the fiber.
How to dry a sweater without damaging it?
Lay flat on a terry towel, away from any heat source. Do not use a tumble dryer. Let it dry naturally at room temperature. Turn the sweater over for quicker drying.
How to iron a sweater?
Iron inside out, with steam, without direct contact with the iron, from 5 to 10 cm away. A damp cloth placed between the iron and the sweater is enough to restore the fiber's full suppleness.
How to remove pilling from a sweater?
Some pilling may appear, depending on the quality of the fibers. Gently remove them by hand. This also applies to yak wool and camel hair, which are equally precious materials.
