I am Saranguerel Tseelaajav, creator of Maison Saranguerel. Also a musical artist, I make the soul of the steppes resonate through Mongolian songs. Since 2004, I have presided over the Talyn Mongol Association, forging bonds of solidarity and sharing between Mongolia and France through humanitarian and cultural initiatives. My journey also led me to the Sorbonne, where I delved into the fascinating history of the Mongol Empire, a living heritage that continues to inspire my commitment and my creations today.
My first name means Moonlight. I was born in my grandmother's yurt, a cashmere goat herder in the Arkhangai province, in the heart of the Mongolian steppe.
As a child, I learned the gestures that transform raw down into precious threads. I watched my grandmother's hands sew custom traditional dresses. Listening to my mother's stories under a perfectly clear starry sky and lulled by her traditional songs, to the crackling of the fire in the yurt. These memories are woven into every Saranguerel piece.
Close your eyes. Imagine the steppe covered in snow in winter, blooming like embroidered velvet in summer. Peaceful mornings with a clear blue sky where the light caresses the hills. Herds of goats that offer us their precious wool, cashmere, move with the seasons, depending on the abundance of pastures and streams. This is where our cashmere comes from.
By wearing Saranguerel, you carry the magic of the steppes.
